Slips and Falls
Miketic Law deals with clients of all ages who have been injured in trips or slips. For example, any occupier and/or business owes a duty to take such care to see that persons entering on the premises, and the property brought on the premises by those persons are reasonably safe while on the premises. A city is under a duty to maintain pavements and public highways for public use. The type of injuries can range from bruising to broken bones. Some examples of slip and falls that we have dealt with in the past include:
- Falling due to a defective pavement
- Slipping on wet/slippery floors in supermarkets, malls, hospitals or schools
- Injuries to cyclist, motorcyclists and motorists due to potholes in the road
- Raised paving stone, missing kerbstones, defective utility grids
